Why Follow GOD’s rules?
Because … "they" Work!

You are in your car in the far right hand lane of an eight lane street. Four going your way, four going the other. You are in a large metro area. You stop at a red light and you want to turn right. You decide that you are going to "make" your car turn right by turning the steering wheel to the left. The light turns green and you floor it. Low and behold the car goes to the left instead of the right! You don’t even attempt to turn the wheel the other direction. You are furious … the car refuses to obey your wishes. You ZOOM in front of the cars next to you and the oncoming ones as well.

You make it. No one hit you …this time. But did you make it clear and free? You look in the mirror and there is a 10 car pile up? Did I do that? Yea you did. How many times do we do something and we get away with it but others are hurt? Almost every single time. (You see that is one of the unwritten rules.)

But wait?! You didn’t get away with it! Here comes John Law with his lights on. You stop. He asks you to get out. You get out stumbling along the way. That medicine you took about twenty minutes ago is really kicking in. You look drunk. The cop gives you a field sobriety test ... but you don’t drink you keep telling the officer. Yea?! That is what they all say! And guess what … you fail the field sobriety test.

Off you go to jail charged with driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated (DUI or DWI). On the way you find out that your little abandonment of the rules killed two people and injured 12. You get to the police station and they lock you up with the biggest baddest person you ever seen. AND guess what "it" doesn’t like you.

Before you get out on bail, big and bad beats the living daylights out of you. In fact it is so bad that you are taken to the hospital. There, during a blood transfusion, you contract an incurable disease. 6 months later you are dead.

It could happen! AND all because you decided that the rules that you had been taught all of your life, YOU decided you did not want to follow them any more. YOU always thought that the rules were only put into existence to irritate you, to interfere with your life, to hold you down and to hold you back!

The truth of the matter is you probably would have been struck by an eighteen wheeler doing 50 miles an hour or you would have been hit by one car going one way and another going the other. OR you would have squeezed thru and there would have been nothing more than a bunch of horns honking, obscene gestures and cussing. The truth is that being a stumbling block for others is just as bad as the first scenario … no … it’s even worse.

How many times do we disobey the rules of physics? Not very often. Nowhere near as many times as we disobey GOD’s rules. That’s really strange because GOD’s rules have even more lasting repercussions than the rules of physics.

Obeying the rules of physics is smart … it’s intelligent … it’s safe … it helps to sustain your life. Why? Because they work! That’s why they exist. Simply because they work.

Guess what? That’s why GOD’s rules exist as well. Because they work. What do I mean … they work? Just like going with the traffic, the same speed as everyone else, obeying the lights and signs, … traffic flows smoothly. When you or someone else stops going with the traffic and the rules thereof, the flow is disrupted. … life stops. … sometimes literally. In fact too many times the life stopping is death itself.

When God says for women to win their husbands over with their quite ways (not yelling, nagging, belittling, talking smart, or talking at all) it’s not because women are stupid. It’s not because they won’t be right with what they say. It’s not because they are some lower life form. It is because, just like the rules of physics, it’s what works.

Being right is not running your mouth. Many people believe that to be true. Being right is doing what it takes to actually get the job done. The job that you really want to accomplish … or more importantly the job GOD wants you to accomplish.

When women speak where GOD has told them to be quiet they have just turned left when they think they are turning right. BUT how can they believe that? They broke the rules. They turned the steering wheel left while attempting to turn right or should I say "Be" right!

They took the laws of physics and completely ignored them .. primarily in the name of progress. They really believe that they are better, smarter, etc than when Jesus walked on the face of the Earth so the rules put in place then do not apply to them. What is amazing is there is no place in the Bible where it says, " Eventually all of mankind , women too, will be so smart, so much stronger than they are now, so much better than they are at this writing that they will no longer have to follow these rules!"

The truth is that GOD says HE is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. GOD is the Bible. So the Bible, and it’s rules, are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

So all you are doing is breaking GOD’s rules … not man’s … GOD’s. If you wish to argue that point argue it with HIM. HE is the one who said it. In fact no matter who you present your argument to .. you are arguing with GOD. You want to guess who is going to loose?

If you think that all I’m going to do is talk about women …. WRONG! Most of the things that women do is due to men not doing the things that they are supposed to do! In GOD’s eyes that is no excuse for the women … not at all. It is just a statement of reality. Men have stopped being the leaders that GOD’s rules say that they are to be.

I’m not talking about wife beaters or men who physically beat their children to the point of abuse. GOD has never said that was in HIS rules. I’m talking about men that take on the devil by fighting temptation when hit with it themselves. By fighting it when sin comes into their lives. Whether it is thru their wife, their children, friends, any family member or just a stranger.

Men have become the proverbial ostrich with there head in the sand. If I don’t look at it. If I just ignore it … Maybe it will go away. More of GOD’s rules being violated. We are to fight sin … not tolerate it.

The shame of it all.. we expose our children and our wives to this trash and we excuse it by saying " Well that’s reality wife and kids. Better learn to deal with it." The reality is that we let them down, GOD down, the rest of the people in the world down, and ourselves down every time we say that. We can say that verbally, or by saying nothing, and all followed up with no action.

Chivalry is not only being a gentleman .. it is also protecting the weak from any and all enemies. It is protecting the strong too by having the strong band together. True chivalry is the only way to build true and lasting friendships.

Chivalry is dead. And so dies the world. The world is not a better place today than yesterday. It is far worse.

There is true honor in following GOD’s rules … in being chivalrous. Chivalry is putting others before yourself.

Chivalry means taking up the armor and fighting the fight for those to weak to fight. To be truly chivalrous means being the man that GOD wants us to be.

When our wife is un-Godly we are to do something about it. Our children too. These are our primary responsibilities. BUT the rest of what’s happening in the world is our responsibility too. When evil is being poured down our throats and we do nothing about it … it’s our fault that our generation has too live with it. OURS! Deal with it.

By the way … do you know who created the laws of physics? Do I have to say it? Maybe for you atheist or feminist I do. GOD did!
