If JESUS walked into a worship service & stood at the pulpit – would our learning, about being the perfect Christian, be any easier? Many, many people firmly believe so – Do you?

I mean if we knew for a "fact" that the man standing at the pulpit was JESUS CHRIST … Our Savior … GOD’s one and only son … AND HE was telling us the truth’s of the Bible …. Of GOD … of salvation … of living the Christian life … would we accept these truth’s any easier than we do now?

Now … when someone speaks of a truth or tells us that here is the truth, we have the luxury of saying " That’s his interpretation AND it’s not accurate AND he just hasn’t matured enough yet."

In reality, in most cases, it is us who hasn’t matured and it is our interpretation that is wrong … In reality, we reject the truth because it will mean self examination … leading to self condemnation … repentance and …finally arriving at self correction. TOO Much WORK & WORK & Work!

Let us correct a misconception right now … GOD’s truth is not subject to interpretation. GOD’s truth may have multiple lessons and multiple truths … but the truth is the truth … believe me GOD can tell you the exact meaning of each and every spoken word or more accurate each truth!. But this is another "truth" for us to study.

Any way the work I spoke of we do not want. Most importantly we don’t want to face the wrong-ness of our "understanding" for it means life is different and we have settled on what we think life it is.

BUT to answer the question – NO – it would not be any easier if Jesus himself was here doing the teaching. We would be no different than the first century people. We would probably still accept GOD’s word, or truth, but we would find another response … one that exonerates " our " particular sin … such as … "I am doing the best I can." The common catch all excuse. Accepting truth, for self correction, is not the primary reason any way … The primary reason to knowing the truth is that you must know the truth to be able to teach the truth! Teaching the truth is everything! After all if it is not the truth it can only be a falsehood and if you teach it you would be what GOD calls a false prophet.

Seeking perfection is our perpetual goal … but imperfection is our destiny. So we must teach the absolute truth – for only the absolute truth is perfect. The absolute truth is the only thing that will remain perfect … we cannot ever be perfect for any sustained period of time. Only GOD, JESUS, and the Holy Spirit is perpetually perfect.

Accept truth for what truth is … perfection … teach absolute truth … acknowledge or, better yet, confess your imperfection in any & every area that you are imperfect.

Always love GOD… Always accept the humility of our imperfection. Relentlessly pursue perfection …yet always repent at your failure … but always remember ... ALWAYS remember live with the wonderful liberating truth of Romans 8:1 " Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!"

Learn the truth …teach truth… love the truth! For GOD’s truth is what sets you free from the death of sin.

WE reject the truth because it is natural to man, or better stated, the nature of man "Not " to accept responsibility for his / her actions and the effect it has on others. We don’t even accept the effect it has on ourselves.

Let someone else fix it. Let someone else deal with it…let someone else be responsible one!

Today it is quite common for men & women to give all problems to GOD & let HIM fix it and or deal with it. What a wonderful thought … give it to GOD! But make no mistake .. GOD will only do is part if you or I do our part that HE gave to us to do! Passing the buck will not happen. God will not accept a pass of the buck .. HE leaves our part to us to do. …period!
